Mission

Members work with each other, with their faith communities, and with community partners to respectfully help current and former shelter residents to:

improve their lives and their connection with others
re-settle into a healthier, more stable environment
realize their full potential

Who we are

The Caring Alliance is a coalition of volunteers from faith communities, City agencies, and Scarborough communities. We strive, in collaboration with other organizations, to support the short term needs and long term aspirations of homeless families and those emerging from homelessness. We seek to influence elected representatives, business leaders, and community groups towards the provision and preservation of affordable housing in all forms.

The Caring Alliance is a group recipient of Toronto’s Community Service Volunteer Award for 2005.
